The way to connect Smartmi Air Purifier P1 to APP/Homekit/Google Assistant/Alexa:
Before setting, please download the smartmi link APP and register your smartmi ID。
To smartmi link APP: reset the Wi-Fi setting of P1 following user manual, make sure the P1 is on the same Wi-Fi(2.4GHz required) network as your phone, the P1 should automatically* display on the APP to be connected. Choose the Wi-Fi and enter the password, then wait for the connection to complete. After establishing the connection, in just a few preference settings, your P1 is good to go!
*If the device doesn’t pop up, press the + button on the top-right corner on the screen to start manual searching. Make sure both the P1 and your phone are on the same Wi-Fi!
To Homekit: after connecting to smartmi link APP, press the setting(in gear icon) button on the top-right corner, then select “Add to Homekit”. Scan the barcode/enter the code on sticker at the bottom-back of your P1 near the power port, then finish the setting on your iPhone.
To Google Assistant: after connecting to smartmi link APP, open Google Home APP, press the setting(in gear icon) button on the middle of the screen, then scroll down and select “Works on Google”. Search “smartmi link”, then follow the steps thereafter to finish the setting.
To Alexa: after connecting to smartmi link APP, open Alexa APP, select the “Device” section, then press the “Your Smart Home Skill” under “Add Device” section. This thing is a much higher quality than I was expecting. We needed one for our bedroom as it gets very stuffy in there after a few days. I went overkill with this one just to make sure, and it was definitely overkill. This thing cleans up every room on this floor.I turned it on just before I went to bed in sleep (silent) mode, and I could only barely hear it if my face was right next to it. When I woke up the next day, I noticed without any doubt the difference it had made. The air smells clean and fresh like mountain air. It’s the crispest air I’ve smelled in many years.My girlfriend always has a hard time sleeping. She said she slept the best she’s slept in a long time.It has a ton of functions, like connecting to WiFi to set up working times, but I prefer to just use it’s most basic function. I love that I don’t have to set up every feature just to get clean air. I turn it on, and it works.Overall this is one of the best items I’ve put in my house in a very long time.Highly recommended.

This air purifier is recommended for its good performance. We subjected it to a stress test to evaluate its performance, and confirmed its air quality readout with a separate air quality monitor. The test involved placing the purifier in a kitchen in which food was being cooked.Detection Response Time: The air purifier detected air contaminants at the same time as a separate air quality monitor, which was placed next to the purifier. The purifier responded by powering up its fan to the maximum filtration abilitySettling Time: When cooking was complete, the air purifier took about 30 minutes to clear a large area of particles (~500-600 square feet) and return the air to normal.Air Quality Monitor Accuracy: The air quality monitor built in to the air purifier appeared to be accurate. The air quality readings were closely aligned with an independent air quality monitor set up in the vicinity throughout the stress test.Noise: The air purifier makes quite a bit of noise when it is running at full power in a highly contaminated environment. I have had this product for about 9 months and I am really pleased with it. I did some research before buying it and it’s considered one of the best air purifiers for the price range. It’s definitely not meant for very large rooms or open concept areas, as it says in the description. But it works well in enclosed areas. I bought this mostly for my cat who had some lung issues that were caused by allergy, the most likely cause being dust. I keep it in the areas that he spends most of the time in and he hasn’t had any more coughing fits since using this. I’m sure there are other factors but I think this has made a big difference. I would like to get multiple of these so I don’t have to move this around. But it’s actually very portable as it has a handle to carry it by and is quite light. It’s also had some benefits for us. My boyfriend is finding that when we keep it in the bedroom at night (by the way the noise is about as loud as fan, you will adjust very quick) he doesnt feel stuffed up when he wakes up. It also cuts the pet smell really well. If we keep it in the room with the litter box you can’t smell a thing. For those of you wondering about how long until you need a replacement filter.. We have 2 cats (one is long haired and both shed a lot), carpets and we never clean but are non smokers and we just had to replace the filter after 8 months.

One thing I learned a long time ago the hard way is that pure clean air is as important to the body as food or water. If you’re air is unclean, dirty, or polluted its going to take a toll on your body. Now Im not some new-age guru nor do I even subscribe to that line of thought, but I will say that getting air filtration around my house have improved my life dramatically. Ive never really had allergies and my wife is keeps the house spotless and clean of dust, but there are just things in the air that you cant keep out with rigorous cleaning. Its funny that I actually thought that air filters were a waste of money and that they couldnt really do anything to keep the air cleaner. However one year for christmas a family member gave me a desk air filter for my office since i work in LA. They were afraid the smog and what not in the air was bad and that this mini air cleaner was going to save my life. Long story short though that air filter was a joke and did nothing, but it got me started in educating myself about the air around me. In all honesty I looked into this info to use more as a weapon to disprove that air filtering really even does anything. I purchased a air quality monitor with CO/CO2/HVOC/TVOC and some other parameters and went to work finding air quality readings throughout my home and office. The air quality monitor I purchased not only gave the readings of the individual parameters being monitored but also gave a ranking of the air quality, which was listed as Good, normal, acceptable, dangerous, dangerous II. All throughout my home it read acceptable or dangerous. At my office is read acceptable which to my surprise was better than my home! Considering I dont like in the city and am in more a suburb I figured my office would have been much worse. With that being said I actually turned a corner and grew quite concerned about the air quality in my home. My wife and I both did a “deep clean” changed the air filters in the AC/Furnace and even had someone out to inspect them to make sure they were running correctly. Had the seals on the doors checked and made sure there was no wild mold anywhere. Needless to say this did less than nothing and the situation was still problematic. So I broke down and bought 4 smaller room air purifiers (non-hepa) and put them in different parts of the house. Within a day my readings across the whole house improved from dangerous/acceptable to Normal. Really that didnt surprise me much, but what did was how well I was sleeping! Ive always been a light sleeper and wake up multiple times per night. Been to the dr for it and was told that’s just basically how it is for you and if you dont like it take sleeping pills. Well tried the pills once and was so groggy the next morning I fell asleep on the toilet. So wasnt going to do that again. I also noticed that during my daily run I was able to run faster and longer without issue. My run times improved dramatically and my recovery honestly was cut in half if not more. To be perfectly honest I just felt better. After a couple months of that my air quality with the new filters deteriorated and I was back to square one. I figured they just needed new filters so I replaced those, but the air quality which did improve didnt as much as it did the first time. I was still sleeping better but wasnt as good as it was right after installing the filters. So I went for broke and ponied up the big money for larger HEPA based air purifiers and that took my home from acceptable/normal straight to good. And since than Ive only stuck with HEPA air purifiers. My air quality in my home is consistently good with littler to no HVOC/TVOC or CO. Now there are a litany of filters out there and to be honest most are subpar and marginally do anything if at all. You have to get a HEPA based system thats true HEPA. Since there isnt really any way to vett these systems a lot of manufacturers just use the word anyway so you have to do your research. Also you do need to know that air purifiers need to be cleaned and the filters changed according to their scheudle. And you have to know that they arent going to last forever. An air purifier is going to break down in which its not worth to fix. Keep in mind this object is running 24/7 it wont last more than a couple years at best. So when my last one died I went for somehting more modern looking and blended in better with my decor. Found this awesome cylindrical modernesqe air filter than came with a built in air quality monitor. Which to me is great as I dont have to run a separate device any longer. it has so far been the best at filtering out air around my home and makes no noise I can hear whatsoever. Ive actually had to go up to it and make sure its still working as you simply cant tell by being in the same room with it. This unit does come with some features such as alexa and ok google, but outside of testing the novelty of it with my echo devices I dont use it as I run it 24/7 regardless. But outside of that it works great, looks awesome and has 2 major features that you just cant get in an air filter generally (Air monitoring & air filtering) I am incredibly happy and healthy with my new set of air purifiers!

The CADR and filtration are much better and more efficient than the other air purifiers I’ve used. The sleep mode is incredibly quiet, and it also keeps track of the status of the filter. This air purifier is much taller than the conventional ones I’ve used which isn’t a bad thing at all. It reminds me a lot of some sci-fi robot. The OLED display is a nice feature and the app can be downloaded via QR code on the air purifier. Pretty easy to use and keeps the office in the low single digits for PM2.5 levels.

The ripped top, the missing seal, the manual that looked like someone had been thumbing through it for hours were all signs my “new” air filter was anything but new, but the dead giveaway was the bright red tape around the box that said “return” on it. So I followed the instructions on the tape and returned it.EditCustomer service contacted me quickly, and offered to make the situation right which is a very good thing. I am confident this company wants you to have a good experience with their products which is important to me.Amazon sent me a replacement unit which was quickly delivered and good thing it was. My garbage disposal unit decided to vent smoke the same night this arrived. Was able to quickly and easily join this to the app, then to all of my smart home platforms. I had the app installed already because I owned the lamp. This went to work, sounded pretty loud as it worked to clear the air. But did a great job. Now it’s in its normal place working away. It’s normally very quiet unless it senses a lot of particles, then it goes into turbo mode to clean the air as fast as it can. I like the different modes and being able to set up schedules. I like it so much, am goi g to purchase the P1 version to play around with that for my bedroom.Edit 2 upped the stars to reflect actual performance of the product

I received my Smartmi Air Purifier last Sunday and I’ve been using it ever since. Since the pandemic started, I have been wanting to get a super high quality air purifier for a couple of reasons. 1) On the off chance someone in my house or my parents’ house gets sick, I will feel much safer if we are able to keep the air clean to keep the disease from spreading (any disease, really, not just Covid). Also, I am a private voice teacher, and the only way I will feel safe opening up in person again is to have a purifier constantly running in my studio to keep germs at bay.I owned an air purifier when I lived in Los Angeles, but it was huge and ugly (looked like an overgrown paper shredder!). The Smartmi is big, but has a much smaller footprint than I was expecting. It is also beautifully designed and lovely to look at. The controls are simple and it’s easy to set up and use, and most important to me, it’s QUIET.My voice studio is right around the corner from my kitchen, and all of the cooking smells leech into the room, which can be very unpleasant for some students who may not want to smell garlic or fish when they’re singing. If I have this on while I’m cooking and then go into the studio, it smells like NOTHING. Once summer rolls around, I’ll bet it will take care of my students’ odors too, since there’s nothing like having a student come in right after soccer practice! Also, with a bathroom attached to my studio, I won’t have to worry about any lingering smells.This unit is really powerful and able to work in a large room. It has a true HEPA filter, which is something that was incredibly important to me for purchase. It also has the bonus of a temperature gauge and humidity sensor, and for someone who runs a humifier constantly in the winter, it’s great to actually know what level the room is at so I can adjust accordingly.The app is easy to install and use. You can schedule the purifier to come on at specific times, so on days that I teach I don’t have to remember to turn it on (or off – it’s so quiet you’re bound to forget it’s working). You can see the temperature and humidity. You can change the brightness of the light or turn it off entirely. Very user friendly. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Not a big deal, but I would like to have the option.The touchless feature will be very useful for most people, it’s super easy to use – for me, I have turned it off via the app because my toddler will wave his hand over it all day long and change the settings. I’m glad that there’s an option to have it on or off. It also works with OK Google and Alexa, neither of which I have, but I can only assume that could really come in handy if you’re used to using those. It’s definitely 2021 ready!This is really top quality. I’ve only been using it for a little under a week, but I am very impressed with the features and the air quality in the rooms in which I’ve used it.

I must be stuck in the air purifiers of the past because I had absolutely no idea one could be so quiet. Upon unboxing I would say this air purifier is bigger than I expected but I wasn’t upset about that, it’s very compact. Unboxing was very simple and there wasn’t a million little pieces to worry about —the power cord fit right in and all of a sudden it the unit was on , I took off the stickers from the sensors and it started working. The display is really good quality and I can easily see all the statistics immediately. On automatic mode it adjusted itself according to the air quality in the room which thankfully was pretty good.Without much delay I installed the app onto my phone and connected it with Bluetooth to the air purifier. I was able to navigate controls like parental controls which are very important to me. My video is of my toddler testing out the parental controls. All in all this is a wonderful filter quiet affective and very modern way to monitor the air quality temperature and humidity in your home all in one.

They design and produce innovating electronic household gadgets. This air purifier does not disappoint. It’s controlled by LED touchscreen or motion or Mihome app. It connects to wifi, Goole home, and Alexa( I haven’t test that yet) Simply wave your hand on top of the filter, it can control the purifier and display the information on screen. The LED screen shows the air quality, temperature, humidity and filter life. Just like other purifier,there are 3 modes: Auto,sleep, and manual. Sleep mode gets very quiet like it doesn’t exist in the room. The filter is 3 stage filtration system, true HEPA H13 and carbon filter is for particle, formaldehyde (such as cleaning supplies, nail polish), and odor removal. This purifier is the latest and most innovating air purifier on the market. It works well in our 500square feet living room and kids room at night. I keep it on Auto mode all time, and Sleep mode in my kid’s room. Overall, it is worth every penny. I replaced a similar styled unit in my room with this and have been pleased with the upgrade. I no longer have to keep track of how long the filter is good for and now I get a personalized setting.The OLED screen looks great and offers information about the room like air quality, temperature, and humidity. The LEDs on the top of the unit are vibrant but can be turned off if you are prone to bright lights in your room at night. The app works wonderfully and allows you to make custom changes on the manual mode, often I may turn the fan on full blast to allow air to run around the room.The sensitivity of the filter is high but doesn’t go full blast depending on how the air quality has changed. I have this set next to my desk in my room, and often if I am dusting the computer and get dust on the purifier it will often detect the air quality change and ramp up the fan to improve air quality within a few seconds.Mi Home has great additions for the purifier with the ability to add automation for specific time schedules, humidity levels, air quality, and temperatures; additionally, the air purifier is able to connect to my network seconds after it is plugged in.Overall, I am very pleased with the purifier with the build quality and simple functionality, everything just works and the app setup is one the easiest across IoT devices.

This Smartmi Air Purifier is easy to control by using the app. We also linked it with Google and Alexa, both connected easily without hassle. Its winter time and with snow outside these few days, we are using our fireplace with burning woods, kids are so existed and gathering at the living room, however normally the smoke will stay in the living room for awhile. We used this air purifier, it took like about 20 min to clean the air, and the smoke smell was gone. I am glad this works just the way I expected, and the kids can breath the fresh air while they are having fun at the living with the fireplace on. Needed to say, I feel my allergy is better than before after using the purifier. I use to sneeze a lot when the area fill with dust and pollens. I cannot wait to test it out in allergy season in spring time.

This is recommended for rooms up to 48 square meters which is about 515 square feet. The larger the space, the long it will take to clear the air. I do wish that it had more functions controllable without using the app but it is still usable manually. I got this for fire season and it is not yet fire season so it is hard to speak to how well it will work but it does work well on regular indoor pollution like cooking smells. It was easy to set up and I like the sleek unobtrusive look of this.

I smoke in the same room I put this in and I love that it allows me to see the air quality in the room. It’s really easy to read based off the ring lights, it will let you know the quality of the air in the room. I like to keep mine on automatic! It’s been working great and the smell in my house has lessened a lot. It’s very light weight and easy to move around.

The led touch screen is amazing at responding flawlessly, Iv’e set up the app in 10 mins with ease. I have this connected onto automatically filter the living room all day. Its so quite at times I have to get really close to make sure its actually turned on. The best part is i’m able to visually see the data on the app while, controlling the air purifier. Lastly,It indicates the life percentage of the filter which is amazing! Worth the investment for my allergies!

This air purifier is a bit bigger than any other similar product I’ve ever owned (it’s probably twice as big as the next biggest air purifier that I have in my house), so it takes up a bit of space, but it also handles a larger volume of air than smaller purifiers. While it has typical functions that allow you to put it on various power levels, sleep mode, etc., the best thing about this purifier other than it being high quality is that it has an auto setting that measures air quality and adjusts the power level accordingly. Usually it is very quiet, operating on a low setting, but every once in a while, when the air quality level gets worse, it increases the power level to filter more air until the quality level gets back into a good range. This purifier is a bit pricey, but I think that the quality and features make it well worth the cost.

This air purifier is recommended for its good performance. We subjected it to a stress test to evaluate its performance, and confirmed its air quality readout with a separate air quality monitor. The test involved placing the purifier in a kitchen in which food was being cooked.Detection Response Time: The air purifier detected air contaminants at the same time as a separate air quality monitor, which was placed next to the purifier. The purifier responded by powering up its fan to the maximum filtration abilitySettling Time: When cooking was complete, the air purifier took about 30 minutes to clear a large area of particles (~500-600 square feet) and return the air to normal.Air Quality Monitor Accuracy: The air quality monitor built in to the air purifier appeared to be accurate. The air quality readings were closely aligned with an independent air quality monitor set up in the vicinity throughout the stress test.Noise: The air purifier makes quite a bit of noise when it is running at full power in a highly contaminated environment. It is very easy to set up, I also set up scheduler in the app that matches my routine and it works seamlessly. The noise level will depends on your air quality, I put it in Auto mode all the time. It was usually very quiet since the air quality is generally good in the house, but when we were cooking, for example using air fryer, the air purifier was very sensitive to pick that up, and start to turn the fan up until The air quality come back to normal. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

I was skeptical that this machine would properly function in the auto mode, but, I was very pleasantly surprised. The auto mode is very sensitive to changes in air quality, even from cooking or baking and immediately kicks into boost mode to clear the air. There are times I do not even sense something but the machine does and kicks into boost mode. The monitor indicates how much of an issue there is and runs until the air is purified. Love the machine. Easy and intuitive to use. Amazingly easy to clean .

This is a relatively large filter, but it’s attractive enough that you won’t mind having a large object in your house. And in exchange for giving up a bit of your space, you get a machine that moves and purifies quite a bit of air.As soon as I got it, I immediately tested all of the features and found very few things to complain about. You can control it either through an app or using the controls on the device itself. It has adjustable fan speeds so you can crank it up to move and purify a lot of air quickly when you don’t care about noise or set it to a sleep mode when you need it to operate more quietly. It also has an automatic mode that adjusts the fan speed according to the air quality. It does take a little longer than I would have expected to detect those changes in air quality, but once it does detect them, it responds quickly, and it’s capable of moving enough air that it can restore air quality even faster than I would have expected.Though I mostly don’t need the ability to control the device from the app, I did download the app for my iPhone and tried it out and it also works well (it took two attempts to connect it the first time, but I haven’t had any trouble since).One minor annoyance for most American users is that you cannot change the temperature reading from C to F. While I personally am accustomed enough to both temperature scales that I don’t mind mentally converting between them, most of my fellow countrymen would prefer the readings in F, so it’s slightly disappointing that there’s no way to change that setting.However, I doubt most people buy a HEPA filter for the thermometer, so I don’t think that’s going to be a deal breaker for most people. The filter itself works great, so I enthusiastically recommend it.

This Smartmi air purifier does an impressive job of removing dust and pollen from inside your house. The amount of dust that settles on my tables and shelves now is a tiny fraction of what it was before. We had to dust shelves and tables every two weeks. There are lots of sources of dust and particulate matter in a typical home and we have all of them. Unfortunately, my spouse has a dust allergy.This air purifier has a H13 HEP filter that can filter out most dust, pet dander, pollen, smoke smells out of the air. It can recirculate the air in a 500 square foot room in about 30 minutes. The control panel includes read-outs for temperature and humidity as well as TVOC (Total volatile organic compounds) status currently in the air. VOCs are released from all types of substances including cleaning solutions, cooking, disinfectants, paints, waxes, varnishes, etc… They are typically much more highly concentrated indoors than out. VOCs can cause all sorts of health problems. The TVOC status also provides a count of particulate matter (PM) measured 2.5 micrometers and higher (PM2.5). This filter easily cleans those up.We leave ours running all the time in “Automatic” mode which can be set from the control panel on the top. You will hear the fan speed up from time to time (if you are listening carefully) and that it is when it is measuring higher levels of particular matter in the air. If you choose to run yours only part of the time, run it from mid-morning until about the time you go to bed as that is when the air is circulating the most in your home.If you want to test this out, there are numerous air quality meters available on Amazon for a reasonable price. Monitor the PM2.5 measurement in your home for a few days before running this and then measure it again and you will be impressed at the difference.

After a couple weeks of usage, I say it has been sensitive to air quality change and the screen display is very helpful. When there is some cooking in the kitchen, about 20 feet away from the unit, it would recognize and start auto mode. The sleep mode is very quiet. I don’t even notice it standing beside it. The app is easy to use. The hand gesture control feature can only be turned on after the unit is connected to the app. It makes the experience even more awesome!

Sleep mode gets very quiet like it doesn’t exist in the room. This purifier is the latest and most innovating air purifier on the market. It works well in our 500square feet living room and kids room at night. Easy to set up, easy directions & super easy to manage via app. We tried few different locations and found that downstairs is where our air needs some improvement. We having new baby on the way so having allergen free air is pretty important. It’s very quiet on auto mode, can’t really hear it, great plus when baby is napping!!! Honestly don’t even have to attend to it much as I can control it very easy via app. Love the motion sensor as well, makes it super easy to regulate without touching. I feel as a parent it’s a must have device for clean air and very happy to have it! I highly recommend it!

We have purifiers now in every room in the house. This we put into our master bedroom because of the ability to control it from a smartphone app.The app works well and does as expected. It is nice to be in bed, realize you forgot to turn the system down a bit, and then be able to turn it down with the phone.That said, it can be a bit noisy compared to others we have in the house and compared also to the one we used in the bedroom prior to this. I wish I could say it was because of the system being more powerful, but it is really just something that wasn’t as planned out for it to be quiet.Ultimately though the smartphone control and the fact that this works makes this one of my favorite purifiers. I weighed between four and five stars for this, but the smart control put it over the top for me.

What makes this one stand out is the fact it works with Alexa. Kinda cool right? It also can cover a living room or even a master bedroom so it doesn’t need to be a small space. I must be stuck in the air purifiers of the past because I had absolutely no idea one could be so quiet. Upon unboxing I would say this air purifier is bigger than I expected but I wasn’t upset about that, it’s very compact. Unboxing was very simple and there wasn’t a million little pieces to worry about —the power cord fit right in and all of a sudden it the unit was on , I took off the stickers from the sensors and it started working. The display is really good quality and I can easily see all the statistics immediately. On automatic mode it adjusted itself according to the air quality in the room which thankfully was pretty good.Without much delay I installed the app onto my phone and connected it with Bluetooth to the air purifier. I was able to navigate controls like parental controls which are very important to me. My video is of my toddler testing out the parental controls. All in all this is a wonderful filter quiet affective and very modern way to monitor the air quality temperature and humidity in your home all in one.

I received my Smartmi Air Purifier last Sunday and I’ve been using it ever since. Since the pandemic started, I have been wanting to get a super high quality air purifier for a couple of reasons. 1) On the off chance someone in my house or my parents’ house gets sick, I will feel much safer if we are able to keep the air clean to keep the disease from spreading (any disease, really, not just Covid). Also, I am a private voice teacher, and the only way I will feel safe opening up in person again is to have a purifier constantly running in my studio to keep germs at bay.I owned an air purifier when I lived in Los Angeles, but it was huge and ugly (looked like an overgrown paper shredder!). The Smartmi is big, but has a much smaller footprint than I was expecting. It is also beautifully designed and lovely to look at. The controls are simple and it’s easy to set up and use, and most important to me, it’s QUIET.My voice studio is right around the corner from my kitchen, and all of the cooking smells leech into the room, which can be very unpleasant for some students who may not want to smell garlic or fish when they’re singing. If I have this on while I’m cooking and then go into the studio, it smells like NOTHING. Once summer rolls around, I’ll bet it will take care of my students’ odors too, since there’s nothing like having a student come in right after soccer practice! Also, with a bathroom attached to my studio, I won’t have to worry about any lingering smells.This unit is really powerful and able to work in a large room. It has a true HEPA filter, which is something that was incredibly important to me for purchase. It also has the bonus of a temperature gauge and humidity sensor, and for someone who runs a humifier constantly in the winter, it’s great to actually know what level the room is at so I can adjust accordingly.The app is easy to install and use. You can schedule the purifier to come on at specific times, so on days that I teach I don’t have to remember to turn it on (or off – it’s so quiet you’re bound to forget it’s working). You can see the temperature and humidity. You can change the brightness of the light or turn it off entirely. Very user friendly. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Not a big deal, but I would like to have the option.The touchless feature will be very useful for most people, it’s super easy to use – for me, I have turned it off via the app because my toddler will wave his hand over it all day long and change the settings. I’m glad that there’s an option to have it on or off. It also works with OK Google and Alexa, neither of which I have, but I can only assume that could really come in handy if you’re used to using those. It’s definitely 2021 ready!This is really top quality. I’ve only been using it for a little under a week, but I am very impressed with the features and the air quality in the rooms in which I’ve used it.

This is recommended for rooms up to 48 square meters which is about 515 square feet. The larger the space, the long it will take to clear the air. I do wish that it had more functions controllable without using the app but it is still usable manually. I got this for fire season and it is not yet fire season so it is hard to speak to how well it will work but it does work well on regular indoor pollution like cooking smells. It was easy to set up and I like the sleek unobtrusive look of this.

I like that this air purifier has an app, although it basically mimics what it shows on the device, which is good if you don’t want to walk over to the unit. I just leave it on 24/7, but it’s still nice to be able to check the air quality every so often. It’s a big unit, great for larger rooms. It has different speeds depending on how quickly you want it to clean the room. My favorite is auto mode so I don’t have to adjust it if the air quality drops to a worse level.

The ripped top, the missing seal, the manual that looked like someone had been thumbing through it for hours were all signs my “new” air filter was anything but new, but the dead giveaway was the bright red tape around the box that said “return” on it. So I followed the instructions on the tape and returned it.EditCustomer service contacted me quickly, and offered to make the situation right which is a very good thing. I am confident this company wants you to have a good experience with their products which is important to me.Amazon sent me a replacement unit which was quickly delivered and good thing it was. My garbage disposal unit decided to vent smoke the same night this arrived. Was able to quickly and easily join this to the app, then to all of my smart home platforms. I had the app installed already because I owned the lamp. This went to work, sounded pretty loud as it worked to clear the air. But did a great job. Now it’s in its normal place working away. It’s normally very quiet unless it senses a lot of particles, then it goes into turbo mode to clean the air as fast as it can. I like the different modes and being able to set up schedules. I like it so much, am goi g to purchase the P1 version to play around with that for my bedroom.Edit 2 upped the stars to reflect actual performance of the product

The CADR and filtration are much better and more efficient than the other air purifiers I’ve used. The sleep mode is incredibly quiet, and it also keeps track of the status of the filter. This air purifier is much taller than the conventional ones I’ve used which isn’t a bad thing at all. It reminds me a lot of some sci-fi robot. The OLED display is a nice feature and the app can be downloaded via QR code on the air purifier. Pretty easy to use and keeps the office in the low single digits for PM2.5 levels.

This thing is a much higher quality than I was expecting. We needed one for our bedroom as it gets very stuffy in there after a few days. I went overkill with this one just to make sure, and it was definitely overkill. This thing cleans up every room on this floor.I turned it on just before I went to bed in sleep (silent) mode, and I could only barely hear it if my face was right next to it. When I woke up the next day, I noticed without any doubt the difference it had made. The air smells clean and fresh like mountain air. It’s the crispest air I’ve smelled in many years.My girlfriend always has a hard time sleeping. She said she slept the best she’s slept in a long time.It has a ton of functions, like connecting to WiFi to set up working times, but I prefer to just use it’s most basic function. This Smartmi Air Purifier is easy to control by using the app. We also linked it with Google and Alexa, both connected easily without hassle. Its winter time and with snow outside these few days, we are using our fireplace with burning woods, kids are so existed and gathering at the living room, however normally the smoke will stay in the living room for awhile. We used this air purifier, it took like about 20 min to clean the air, and the smoke smell was gone. I am glad this works just the way I expected, and the kids can breath the fresh air while they are having fun at the living with the fireplace on. Needed to say, I feel my allergy is better than before after using the purifier. I use to sneeze a lot when the area fill with dust and pollens. I smoke in the same room I put this in and I love that it allows me to see the air quality in the room. It’s really easy to read based off the ring lights, it will let you know the quality of the air in the room. I like to keep mine on automatic! It’s been working great and the smell in my house has lessened a lot. It’s very light weight and easy to move around.

I have moved my older air purifier upstairs and used this one in the living room close to kitchen as it covers larger area. I noticed that its air quality indicator is very sensitive and accurate. The indicator turns right away to red or orange when I vacuum or cook. The purifier starts to work right away and the quality is visualized with number coming down again close to 001. This is very different and I can tell what I do or the cat does makes the air bad. I have a kid with allergy issue so I am keeping my eyes on it this helps a lot. I have not tried to connect it with app, I want it to work constantly in the living area. It is quiet sleek looking and mingle very well with all the furnitures I have. I like it a lot so far. PM 2.5 is something new to me and this purifier measures it very accurately and I looked up cooking can induce PM2.5 which is harmful particles hanging in the air. I will be more careful moving on.

I have had this product for about 9 months and I am really pleased with it. I did some research before buying it and it’s considered one of the best air purifiers for the price range. It’s definitely not meant for very large rooms or open concept areas, as it says in the description. But it works well in enclosed areas. I bought this mostly for my cat who had some lung issues that were caused by allergy, the most likely cause being dust. I keep it in the areas that he spends most of the time in and he hasn’t had any more coughing fits since using this. I’m sure there are other factors but I think this has made a big difference. I would like to get multiple of these so I don’t have to move this around. But it’s actually very portable as it has a handle to carry it by and is quite light. It’s also had some benefits for us. My boyfriend is finding that when we keep it in the bedroom at night (by the way the noise is about as loud as fan, you will adjust very quick) he doesnt feel stuffed up when he wakes up. It also cuts the pet smell really well. If we keep it in the room with the litter box you can’t smell a thing. For those of you wondering about how long until you need a replacement filter.. We have 2 cats (one is long haired and both shed a lot), carpets and we never clean but are non smokers and we just had to replace the filter after 8 months.

Normally my master bedroom tends to have an odor in the morning from the humidifier, the dog’s breath and my husband’s feet. Shockingly I mean this thing that night and it cleared everything out. The only thing I could smell was the lotion I applied from the night before. Its is pretty sizable for sure but it fits in a corner of my room and looks aesthetically pleasing. It is very loud when it’s not on the DND setting. But it’s still effective when it’s on the silent mode though. However, I do welcome the loud noise it makes at night as if it’s a white noise or sound machine so it’s a win win for me. It tells you the amount of humidity in the room which I was shocked at the numbers. The corresponding app is nice to have as well because you ca control it from your phone and I love that when I’m in the bed and don’t want to get up. There is an indicator along the top for the air quality and wifi connection, which was easy to set up once I downloaded the app. It also tells you how much lifespan your filter has. I love this thing. Now I need one for other areas of my house.

It’s easy to set up and you can control the setting with the app Mi Home. I have a shiba that sheds constantly and I have been using an air purifier since I got the dog. It was breaking down and couldn’t handle all the hairs and dust. The Smartmi air purifier is smaller and does a wonderful job of cleaning the air and eliminating the dog Oder. And it’s quieter even on the highest level.

I replaced a similar styled unit in my room with this and have been pleased with the upgrade. I no longer have to keep track of how long the filter is good for and now I get a personalized setting.The OLED screen looks great and offers information about the room like air quality, temperature, and humidity. The LEDs on the top of the unit are vibrant but can be turned off if you are prone to bright lights in your room at night. The app works wonderfully and allows you to make custom changes on the manual mode, often I may turn the fan on full blast to allow air to run around the room.The sensitivity of the filter is high but doesn’t go full blast depending on how the air quality has changed. I have this set next to my desk in my room, and often if I am dusting the computer and get dust on the purifier it will often detect the air quality change and ramp up the fan to improve air quality within a few seconds.Mi Home has great additions for the purifier with the ability to add automation for specific time schedules, humidity levels, air quality, and temperatures; additionally, the air purifier is able to connect to my network seconds after it is plugged in.Overall, I am very pleased with the purifier with the build quality and simple functionality, everything just works and the app setup is one the easiest across IoT devices.

This is a relatively large filter, but it’s attractive enough that you won’t mind having a large object in your house. And in exchange for giving up a bit of your space, you get a machine that moves and purifies quite a bit of air.As soon as I got it, I immediately tested all of the features and found very few things to complain about. You can control it either through an app or using the controls on the device itself. It has adjustable fan speeds so you can crank it up to move and purify a lot of air quickly when you don’t care about noise or set it to a sleep mode when you need it to operate more quietly. It also has an automatic mode that adjusts the fan speed according to the air quality. It does take a little longer than I would have expected to detect those changes in air quality, but once it does detect them, it responds quickly, and it’s capable of moving enough air that it can restore air quality even faster than I would have expected.Though I mostly don’t need the ability to control the device from the app, I did download the app for my iPhone and tried it out and it also works well (it took two attempts to connect it the first time, but I haven’t had any trouble since).One minor annoyance for most American users is that you cannot change the temperature reading from C to F. While I personally am accustomed enough to both temperature scales that I don’t mind mentally converting between them, most of my fellow countrymen would prefer the readings in F, so it’s slightly disappointing that there’s no way to change that setting.However, I doubt most people buy a HEPA filter for the thermometer, so I don’t think that’s going to be a deal breaker for most people. The filter itself works great, so I enthusiastically recommend it.

This Smartmi air purifier does an impressive job of removing dust and pollen from inside your house. The amount of dust that settles on my tables and shelves now is a tiny fraction of what it was before. We had to dust shelves and tables every two weeks. There are lots of sources of dust and particulate matter in a typical home and we have all of them. Unfortunately, my spouse has a dust allergy.This air purifier has a H13 HEP filter that can filter out most dust, pet dander, pollen, smoke smells out of the air. It can recirculate the air in a 500 square foot room in about 30 minutes. The control panel includes read-outs for temperature and humidity as well as TVOC (Total volatile organic compounds) status currently in the air. VOCs are released from all types of substances including cleaning solutions, cooking, disinfectants, paints, waxes, varnishes, etc… They are typically much more highly concentrated indoors than out. VOCs can cause all sorts of health problems. The TVOC status also provides a count of particulate matter (PM) measured 2.5 micrometers and higher (PM2.5). This filter easily cleans those up.We leave ours running all the time in “Automatic” mode which can be set from the control panel on the top. You will hear the fan speed up from time to time (if you are listening carefully) and that it is when it is measuring higher levels of particular matter in the air. If you choose to run yours only part of the time, run it from mid-morning until about the time you go to bed as that is when the air is circulating the most in your home.If you want to test this out, there are numerous air quality meters available on Amazon for a reasonable price. Monitor the PM2.5 measurement in your home for a few days before running this and then measure it again and you will be impressed at the difference.

Easy to set up, easy directions & super easy to manage via app. We tried few different locations and found that downstairs is where our air needs some improvement. We having new baby on the way so having allergen free air is pretty important. It’s very quiet on auto mode, can’t really hear it, great plus when baby is napping!!! Honestly don’t even have to attend to it much as I can control it very easy via app. Love the motion sensor as well, makes it super easy to regulate without touching. I feel as a parent it’s a must have device for clean air and very happy to have it! I highly recommend it!

I like that this air purifier has an app, although it basically mimics what it shows on the device, which is good if you don’t want to walk over to the unit. I just leave it on 24/7, but it’s still nice to be able to check the air quality every so often. It’s a big unit, great for larger rooms. It has different speeds depending on how quickly you want it to clean the room. My favorite is auto mode so I don’t have to adjust it if the air quality drops to a worse level.
