I have quite a few Sofirn flashlights, and some of them are now 3 years old. I’ve never had a problem with any of them. As for this SC31 Pro, it’s one of the most used in my collection. It has a good combination of brightness, size, weight, and battery life. It’s the perfect EDC flashlight or great for walking the dog at night. Having the strong tail cap magnet makes it very useful for working on my computer or car too.One thing to note is the batteries Sofirn includes with their lights are very high quality for the money. I have some that are a few years old and have had probably hundreds of charges on them and they are still going strong.

Only dislike is how hot the light gets after being turned on for a short period

My search for the cheapest good flashlight is over. This compares well to my olight baton pro for a third of the money.

Small, well built light. It is extremely bright with a nice white color. It has been my dog walking light as of late. I use the simple operating system, but it will do much more in geek mode if that’s your thing. As other reviews have mentioned, the button stays lit, which doesn’t bother me. To turn it off, simply hop on one leg 20 times, pirouette 3 times, snap your fingers twice all while whistling Zippity Do Dah. Or alternately, just give the tailcap a slight turn to disconnect the battery. 😅 Seriously, a lot of light for the money.

I’m rather impressed with this little light. Especially for the price I was able to pick it up for. The advanced UI took some getting used to, you will definitely want to watch some YouTube videos before you read the directions. The basic mode UI will be fine for most people but this type of light should really be configured in the advanced UI to optimize it’s capabilities and fit the users needs. Build quality seems to be more than adequate, I personally like the power button on the side rather than on the tail cap.

This is simply a great flashlight! It’s very solidly built, extremely bright and easy to use. Its Andúril firmware means it’s extremely configurable and flexible. The built-in charger is very convenient, though it only charges the batter up to about 90% – for more, you’ll need an external charger. My only complaint is that the two tailcaps offer either a lanyard hole or a magnetic end – it would be much more useful to have a magnetic cap with a hole for a lanyard.

At the price point you’ll be hard pressed to find this much light, with a lot of that being due to it having the Anduril2 Operating System. Once learned, it is very useful. It is plenty durable, easy to carry, works great, and doesn’t cost a fortune. The included Sofrin 18650 battery will be plenty for nearly everyone, but for the few who want a little more many other options exist.I went with the extra tailcap/diffuser additions, and they are quite cool. The diffuser is particularly cool, this little guy easily lights up a room with it in use.

I’ve used this light for almost a month as my EDC with mostly the low and moonlight settings and barely drained the battery. I even set it to have the indicator light on almost all the time to find in the dark. The flashlight gets intensely bright with the ramp and turbo feature, too bright to use indoors. With the Anduril 2 firmware this is easily the best flashlight i have ever bought. If you don’t know the firmware, look it up, there are plenty of features to access.

The only 18650 Anduril 2 UCB-C rechargeable light on the market as of March 2022. Silicon diffuser is snug and can be difficult to install quickly. This became a great gift for mom to go along with her Anduril 2 BLF LT1.

This light checks the “bright, regardless of its size” button, but the coolest thing is that it ships with what looks like a finger cot. It slips over the emitter glass to create an area light, like the mantle in a gas lantern. That thing gets so bright when you jack the power up that it literally causes discomfort – AS IT SHOULD BE. It’s like the end of Gandalf’s staff when they went into the mines of Moria. Get this thing. The controls are super-simple, and another bonus I didn’t know about before buying it is that the power button glows green. That’s brilliant- if the power goes off and you’re in pitch blackness, if that power button is facing your direction you can go straight to the light. Freakin awesome.

I have a wurkkos FC12 and this is nearly identical, in the best way possible. It’s less tactical and I think that is to it’s benefit. Very bright and a full size 18 series battery lasts a long time. I think the ONLY thing I wasn’t a fan of…. If it has a flat tail cap, why not put a magnet in there? Seriously guys, it’s very tough and durable and is a workhorse. I bought it because I liked my other Sofirn (sc21 Pro) so much.

The light is well-built. Feels sturdy in the hand but not cumbersome. Definitely a light I would not mind carry around. It uses the andruil 2 firmware so it has many settings/functions that I would ever need. Very easy to use, I’m very pleased with the purchase.

I really like Sofirn flashlights because I pick the brightness, from nightlite dim up to car headlight bright.I would recommend Samsung protected button top batteries; they are better than Sofirn’s.

This flashlight is amazing! It has a dimmable brightness by just holding down the button. It is much better than some other flashlight options that have a step function for brightness where as this one is smooth. The green light to find the flashlight in the dark is a feature I love but didn’t even know I wanted. Was perfect for my camping trip and outdoor concerts that end after dark.

Revising back to 5 star (from 3 star)…Like most reviews, I think it’s generally a slick EDC light that’s plenty bright and I don’t have anything to add. One thing though – when I got the light, I couldn’t turn off the green LED indicator light (using the 7 clicks method) on the button that stays on 24/7/365. Why is this important? I want to be able to charge the light, throw it in the glove box of my car, forget it’s there until I need it (in an emergency). If the green indicator light is on 24/7/365, it will eventually discharge and potentially not work when I need it. At first, I thought it was ‘operator error’ but then I also purchased a Sofirn SP36 – I was able to turn off the LED indicator on that with the 7 clicks with no issues. So I had Amazon send a replacement of this SC31 to do a warranty swap… same issue. I couldn’t turn off the green lights on the button. Not the end of the world, but quite annoying. I sent Sofirn an e-mail. As they are off for the Lunar New Year it took a while to get a response. But their fix worked as it seems these units were shipped with Anduril 2. The Anduril 2 way to change the button LED light setting:1) Restore to factory settings (unscrew the tail and let it sit for a minute and then screw it back on?)2) Enter Advanced UI – Quickly tap the button 9x, then hold the button down a 10th time.3) Enter Lock Mode – quickly tap the button 4x.4) Change the button LED – quickly tap the button 7x. Repeat step 4 until you get the setting you want. I think the 4 settings are off, low, high, pulsing or something like that.Hope this helps some of you.

Just a hand held flashlight that reaches out like a coastal lighthouse beacon. I love mine and you will also.

Excellent battery life and durability highlight this durable flashlight (torch). The beam is extremely bright and will reach a great distance. Andruil2 is the UI so you can take advantage of many useful features, including strobe, beacon and many more. Or you can select the simple UI to just easily enjoy the included basic features. This mode is excellent for lending your flashlight to someone who isn’t familiar with its advanced features preventing them from accidentally burning down your house.

All around a fantastic flashlight. Super illuminating for 2000 Lumens. Super compact, only needing a single 18650 li-ion battery to power it.

This is def my fav flashlight of all time. The battery life is great and so is the brightness. It was a little difficult to figure out but I finally got the basic functions which is all I needed. I use it every night at work while doing my patrols.
